Bonkers! What more can we say? And such a lovely family. We adored Steve, especially his hair, his lovely wife Nadine and three gorgeous girls Samantha, Maddison and Alexia (ooh hope we have remembered your names right!). Steve drove us round the area, up to the wind farm which is awesome - we couldn't believe how big the turbines are up close. Butch apparently got 'removed' from this area by security once as he was trying to get a picture of him flying his kite up with the turbines. Security appeared to think this was a safety hazzard - can't see why?! Anyway, all publicity is good publicity in extreme sports surely?

We drove round Palmy - not much to note really, it's a reasonably big town, but then we are finding that in the North Island - it does have 3/4 of the population of NZ to house afterall. Then we spent the rest of the day back at Steve's having a few beers and getting to know each other. They cooked a fantastic BBQ for us, and the Butcher parents came over (we had met them last summer when they were vising Butch and Shelly at home). We had a right laugh with them all - a very warm and really fun family . It was really nice to see Butch on skype too! Thanks so much for having us guys 😊
