Windy, windy, windy is the theme today. Dragged our backsides up the hill to the Thames War Memorial Monument. The view is pretty nice up there. Nobody around or stupid enough to be up there in the wind however. Like all the war memorials we have recently seen in small town NZ, it still surprises me the large list of names.

Thames have a market every Saturday morning and it is well worth a walk around. Plenty of fresh produce, and deli items to stock up your pantry. Buskers singing on the street add to the atmosphere.

In true Chiefs spirit we have spruced ourselves up, brushed our hair (well maybe not Lance) and worn our Chiefs jerseys today in preparation for tonight's game. I am sure we will find a pub to have a few and watch the game.
