Lesley just proving that we were there.

Serendipity near Maungaturoto

We spent 14 hours on the train from Wellington to Auckland. It is just like England where they do the repairs on Sunday and so we were delayed a number of times. It should have just taken 12 hours.

Anyway we spent one night in the Auckland YHA and then off on the Northliner to start our cycle of the Northland. First up was a naturist stay with Owen and Beverley in their Serendipity Homestay. Then it's off to Dargaville. While with Owen and Beverley they lent us their car and we were able to enjoy the Kauri Museum. Amazing trees the kauri.

Hi there
We just found out about your blog from Karen and Brian, to whom we are going this evening (Karen's birthday). It all sounds lovely as we are continuing our normal over-busy time of work, children, etc. You must be coming home soon, but hope that you enjoy the rest of your trip! John and Alison
