Shoes
My pride and joy <3 Today was my girl day. To spend all day shopping! When I got up, I got dressed, brushed my teeth and locked up. I didn't bother eating because I didn't feel too hungry and I knew i'd just buy some lunch there later. It was a saturday and everyone was out on the street walking around. The sun was out today and it was warm. I went down stairs and past reception to the taxi bay where I asked them to take me to Dressmart.
Dressmart is a huge shopping mall in Onehunga, (Pronouced: O-neh-hung-ah). I had the same happy taxi driver from a few days before. He smiled when he saw me and I returned the smile. Onehunga wasn't far and I started to enjoy the taxi rides witht his friendly driver. On the way there I had the window open and the cool breeze was hitting my face. It made me feel refreshed. I saw lots of green trees and other cars on their way to do whatever is was they were going to do.
Once I arrived at there, I got out the cab, and walked down a cobble coloured path to the main automatic doors. To the left was a fountain and to the right were some cafes. I walked into the door and a gust of cool hair hit me and I felt at home again. Shopping. This was the one thing I was good at and having saved my money forever for this vaction, I had a lot to blow. I figured I'd find a map to help me locate everything I wanted quickly. There was a sign with a map on it so I took out my phone and took a picture of it.
The floor was white with what looked like glittery sand in it and there were many people around. There was all kinds of shops, Smart Sushi, Bling, Vodafone, Cotton On, Bras n Things, Designer Haircare, Glassons and so many more. I was still standing near the door way so I started to make my way around. To the left of me about 3 shops away from the door was The Shoe Show. I ran in, the Shoe Show in Australia was cheap enough as it is, so I almost died thinking of the low prices it would be here! I walked into the door and it smelt like leather and shoe polish. There was stacks of shoes everywhere and my eyes darted around the room trying to find a pair I would like. Then I saw them, my new and everlasting saviour, black peep-toted wedges with a studded heal. I think I died. These shoes were the essence of me, they screamed my name! I paid $65 for them which was cheap for heels, but I was worried, I was in there less than 10 minutes before I bought something. Was every shop going to be like this?
I walked out with my bag and headed to Bras n Things. There was so many people because they were having a closing down sale, just moving stores to another mall, but that made things so cheap! I went crazy! I think I bought 15 new pairs of bras and undies for about $45. At the rate I was going I would need to hire someone to help me carry my bags. I hit up another few stores such as Glassons, The Sunglass Hut, Bling and Lippy before I went to lunch. I bought 2 shirts, a pair of jeans, a pair of Louis Vitton sunglasses, a 4 pack of stud earings and about 2 pencil eyeliners, 2 bottles of foundation, a compact powder, 2 bottles of mascara, a pack of make up brushes, a palatte of eye shadow, an eyebrow pencil, face primer, concealer and an eyelash curler. Everything was such a rush. There was so many people wanting to help me find my fragrance but I thought i'd leave that for now.
At around 2:30 I went for lunch at Spice Traders, it was in the food court at the mall. They sold indian food so I got myself a butter chicken with rice, sat down, put my bags down and started to eat. I paid $11.50, including a drink, which was bad at all and the food was pretty decent too!
After lunch I went to go get some beauty treatment at Designer Haircare, they did manicures too. So today I dyed my hair red and got a manicure, all for the low price of $175 which seems like a lot but it really isn't compared for what you could be paying at other places. Their service was ridiculously good too! When they washed your hair they had a tv on the ceiling so you could watch Ellen while they washed red out your hair. Also when they were cutting it, they kept offering me drinks which I thought was lovely.
Around 4:30, I made my way back home with the same lovely cab driver. I didnt look outside the windows because I was tired, so I stuck my ipod in my ears and closed my eyes, still feeling the cool air brush my face as we went down the motorway.
That was the most exciting part of my day, other than that I stayed home and tried on everything that I bought again and watched a movie. I order some pasta from hotel room service, watched another movie and went to sleep.
