"This tea is exquisite, Sir Paul!" "Quite, m'lady!"
Yay!! A new destination! We're now in New Zealand. The poverished travellers we are we decided to book ourselves into the most expensive hotel in the world! The Carlton hotel is a mere 5*s! Our room was on the Penthouse level and included an invitation nightly to the Carlton Club Lounge where we received complimentary pre-dinner drinks and canapes-me and Paul always chose Champagne and filled up on canapes!!! Showing our true origins!!! Every evening-another benefit-Paul called the concierge and requested we have our evening garments pressed and when we returned from the club lounge they were already hanging in our closet-could definitely get used to this!!! The first night Siobhan and Evelyn from Fiji joined us and we all went out for the evening. Loads of fun-in the local backpackers club. (Backpackers party better!) Over the following days we just lazed around the hotel-making the most of it and taking lots of photos-and shampoos for the rest of the year!!! By the way look at the views from our room! Wow! Sadly all good things have to come to an end and we left our fraudulent lives at the Carlton and checked into the Columbia-still in Auckland. Our first spot

of good luck-they had no record of our booking and upgraded us to a private apartment again on the top floor! Me and Paul have our own rooms!!! Again check out the view.
Our first bit of sightseeing!!! We went up the Auckland skytower as seen from the room! Breathtaking views but we didn't really know what to look for so our journey up was swiftly followed by our journey back down! Can you believe some nutters jump off this building! We're beginning to discover that all Kiwi people do is jump off everything in sight!
Today we finally had to admit to ourselves that our bags really are too big. So we spent 2heartbreaking hours saying goodbye to half our stuff. Including...and it pains me to say...the beloved cow suit! Can we all please hold a 2minute silence in its memory! But since it already appeared-see photo-it has done it's duty!
Planning to leave Auckland on Wednesday after Valentines Day-Happy V day to you all! Hope to then book our 'around NZ' tour. Will keep you all posted of course.
Thanks again to all of you who have written messages-love you guys-we get them all.
Take care xxxxxx
