We've arrived in New Zealand after a 3 hour flight from Fiji. We are in Auckland right now. It is more like the city life here. For example, we ate lunch at a Westfield Shopping Mall. We are staying off Queen Street, which is the main shopping street here. Later on, we will go check out the Sky Tower It is the tallest building here and has a casino 😉 We also hope to check out a pub with a pool table. We won't have much time to explore this city, but I can tell you it sort of feels like we are in San Francisco right now.

We only have 1 day in Auckland, then we fly to Queenstown tomorrow for 7 days. That's where all of our adventures should be. We are even thinking of trying out driving here... though neither of us are confident about driving on the left side of the road!

Driving on the left
Go for it!!! It's not really as bad as it seems. I drove a manual all around Scotland one vacation. Driving in the city was most difficult because of the distractions - more cars, different street signs, pedestrians, etc. The rural area was easier but you had to share a single lane requiring someone to pull over to let the oncoming traffic pass. If you do rent, just ask the car rental staff whats the etiquette and if they have any advice for American drivers. =)))
