Paeroa to Auckland

We travelled back to Howick from Paeroa with a couple of rose bushes for Pam, getting back on the Saturday. It was a good trip although the weather was mixed. The road trip totalled around 1600km (1000 miles), the amazing thing being that we hadn't got hopelessly lost once and despite being on unfamiliar roads, we'd only used the road map half a dozen times.

On Sunday I visited the spot where my aunts ashes are interred and left a beautiful flower arrangement on behalf of dad and the family. Millie died some 31 years ago now and it was good to pay our respects before we left New Zealand.

It was a wet day and Steve and I arranged a "meeting" down at Howick Darts Club while Abi got a well deserved break from her dad and went to the cinema with Kirsty. We caught up with Mana, Colin and many of the locals there although in the two visits to the club I don't recall seeing a single dart being thrown! We then visited the Howick Club for a meal with the rest of the family.

One last day in Kiwiland left...
