To Scott and Michelles

We left Raglan and drove quickly to Franklin County about 50k south of Auckland where Scott and Michelle live. As we were too early to go straight to their house we first headed for the coast and a lovely quiet beach where the only thing happening was some kite fishing and also some intrepid surfers in some quite wild looking surf. The kite fishermen caught a ray (which they put back). We also did some shopping at a small town called Waiuku and also for provisions at Papakura. We then headed for the Scott and Michelle homestead. It is situated on a hill overlooking a nice valley with a very tidal river. It was lovely to see Michelle and Scott again. We of course had a good reminiscing session on our African adventures over a few beers and wines.
