We left Raglan and drove quickly to Franklin County about 50k south of Auckland where Scott and Michelle live. As we were too early to go straight to their house we first headed for the coast and a lovely quiet beach where the only thing happening was some kite fishing and also some intrepid surfers in some quite wild looking surf.
