Arriving in New Zealand

Today, after a 12.5hr flight, we finally arrived in New Zealand. Due to the time difference from South America, we actually lost 17 hrs - a very strange feeling! We landed in Auckland at 4.30am and got a taxi to the only hostel open 24hrs. The ACB hostel was absolutely massive, unlike any we had seen in S.A. it was more like a Student Union and had enough beds for 500 people.

We spent the first two days in Auckland adjusting to the time difference and getting used to an English speaking country!

We liked Auckland but didn’t fancy staying too long as it was just the same as any big city, we were more interested in the beauty New Zealand had to offer...
