... This could've been pretty awesome at Restaurant Coco D'isle - top quality green beans roasted with plenty of garlic - but it was simply way overcooked, tasting like they were boiled or steamed to an unceremonious and torturous death.

... when you order a shrimp skewer with fruit, you expect just a little bit of fruit, perhaps a few pieces. But a quarter pineapple, two bananas, nearly half a papaya, and an entire starfruit??? It's overkill! The shrimp were great, however, especially with the little heart-shaped cup of dipping sauce, that was equally as good with the fries.

.. While the food on top of it was good, the weird little plant container was completely unnecessary, and only served the purpose of getting in your way while you ate. Other than that, the tuna in coconut curry wasn't too shabby.

... It seemed that the pieces of baguette had been hollowed out at the breakfast buffet! Maybe they weren't making enough money on their mediocre and overpriced buffet, and needed to cut back! This was the major fault of the Hotel Hibiscus - a pretty sad, and overpriced breakfast buffet.

Hi Clint and Sue. Looks like you had a good flight. Brings back memories of when Denise and I were on that same flight. You are staying across from Raffles, if you can you should try the high tea. It really is a very special time. China tow
n sounded amazing, we've had dinner there as well maybe not the same restaurant but it is very nice. Enjoy your stay. Cheers Bevan.
