Cook Islands - South - Rarotonga

Hi blog-followers, sorry for the delay, working out how to get wi-fi !!! Yes we are in the COOK ISLANDS, soooooo lovely, on an island called Rarotonga. We left NZ on Tuesday night, flight took 3 1/2 hours, arrived at 2.0O am to rain, absolutely pouring. The chap who picked us up at the airport said it would be fine and we are in day two and it has been sooooo hot, in its 90's. We have a bungalow just by the beach, and we have a pool, our own kitchen, bathroom and sitting area, it really is very nice, everyone is friendly and happy. We have chickens and cockerels which wake us up, so I just put in my ear plugs, really don't want to get up at 5.00 am !!! We lazed around all day yesterday, Stu went to the supermarket, his usual, where he walk's right in the middle of the hottest time, I stayed on the beach, he said, 'aren't you coming', No Fear, way too hot to do anything than laze around. Off he goes, about an hour later he's back with two carrier bags full, mostly beer, said they thought he was mad in the supermarket, walking, so a customer gave him a ride back on their scooter. Then last night we walked to a bar called 'The Ale House' and had sword fish salad, it was so lovely, had a couple of jars !!! the lady there said she would get someone to drive us back to the bungalow but we said, 'No' we can walk it, It's only down the road, which it was, but there is no street lighting, well just a tiny bit on the main road, but we managed, you wouldn't want to go very far.

We are here for a week, wi fi is limited, so I will only be able to put 2 - 3 photos up at a time, so when we leave here, I will do, like a photo library once I am able to and finish off the ones from the War Memorial Musuem. Right off for a dip now, sooooo hot.

Hey you two! Wow, it looks stunning! Like paradise. Sounds like you continue to have the most amazing time.....how kind are the locals to give lifts back home??! I wonder I'd you would accept a lift back home? "Oi queenie, fancy a lift on me scoo'er ?" Er no!!! :-) Well speaking of weather....we are having gorgeous sunshine here ant it will reach....wait for it....17 degrees today!! Whoop whoop! Not quite your scorcher, but beggars can't be choosers! Have a great day my friend! Xxx

Wow,so beautiful...one of my cousins,distant!...has just been there,her photos were stunning,really beautiful,enjoy every minute. How is the toe? Love Dolly.x
