enjoying life at Emu Creek Station 21-08-13 to 23-08-13
Karratha to Emu Creek Station
We left Karratha and headed for Emu Creek Station, this little station reads like it should be a relaxing way to spend a couple of days, so we thought we would give it a go.
It is located about 351kms from Karratha, this is a big trip for us today, but we would spend a couple of days relaxing anyway. We found ourselves a great little spot, looking out over the river, firewood supplied, canoes on the bank for some exercise, yep, this would be a great spot.
Lucky we didn’t stop and fluff around on our journey today, we were there only about 10 minutes and along came another 2 campers, then within the ½ hour another one, then around 5ish that night another 4! There is only 4 campsites down here, so a few just had settle out the back.
The station owners couldn’t be more welcoming, they supply fire wood each day, come and check in the evening if there is anything you need, more wood etc. You can order fresh bread and they will make you a loaf of bread, you can buy fresh
