Lancelin surf beach
Rob braved the cold for an early morning walk, post storm. Its a really lovely beach Well dear me, we knew it was going to happen, as you travel south its bound to get colder... But none the less its a bit sad to know there'll be no more blinding heat, high humidity, warm salt water and sun tans... Oh well....
It all started at about 3 am this morning! The lightening lit up the Bago and the thunder rolled across the sky from one side to the other. Then the rain! The Bago was totally shocked! Whats this 'precipitation' thing you talk about???? We have only rain once in the whole trip and that was in the hire car in Cape Tribulation and the Bago stayed basking in the sun at Port Douglas. So he was a bit shocked!
It rained quite a bit on the way in to Perth also. We are still wearing shorts during the day, not rushing to give in on that. But the jumpers were back on for the morning. And dragged out the traccy dacks tonight after my shower... 😞 Oh well... Had to happen)
Perth seems to be a lovely city. We haven't seen a lot as yet but will stay for a few days to
Lancelin surf beach
I missed this view because I ended up with a nasty headache overnight. get a good look around. We are staying in a caravan park near the airport. After settling in we walked up the road a bit and were able to hire a car. I needed to get into the city area to get to a post office (birthdays!) but was a bit reluctant to drive without knowing where I was going. So I jumped on the bus! Found my way around okay but it felt pretty weird being surrounded by so many people and so much traffic! A huge culture shock after the quiet of far north queensland, central australia and the north coast and outback of WA!
So a fairly uneventful blog today folks! Stay warm all, I know I will!

Hi Lynn!
Love reading about your trip. Too bad the cooler weather is catching up with you. Did you see on the net about Alice Springs today? Hit by amazing hailstorm and it's covered in white ice! Never seen anything like it ever before. Have a look! Miss you on Mojo. Mel is back, which is nice. Suesie is off to Noosa soon for a holiday and I've just returned from Victoria and about to head to the Gold Coast. SueK has sold her house and bought another and is about to move in and Karen's new house is half finished. Just thought I'd fill you in. Take care - hope that headache didn't hang around for long. xx
