The last couple of weeks have been such a giggle, we have loved every minute! so where do I start....
From Perth we picked up our 'Wicked' campervan (dolphin design-how cool) and headed north. As it was the afternoon when we picked it up, we only had a couple of hours till sunset and therefore had to get off the road (at sunrise and sunset it is dangerous to travel as all the roos and emus come out). So we just pulled up at a little outback farm where we were greated with wine and a chat with the really friendly hosts and other campers. We got ready to eat our noodles when the host obviously felt sorry for us and handed us a full plate of hotpot each.. best meal yet! The people here (out of the city) are so nice.
We stopped off at a gorgeous beach and bumed around and in the evening watching the roos come alive at dust was cool, they come right up to the camp ground. We than headed for Kalbarri. Here we went kayaking through the Z-bend gorge after walking around the top and basically mountain falling down! The views were amazing. Whilst we were in this awesome place we also spent more dosh than we should have by going on a quad bike ride. We were the only people on the tour so it was really great that we got to do more and have our on private guide. He was really funny, he reminded me of Steve Urwim as he was so enthusiastic about his home. I must say we would love to live his life. He has a river and beach one side of his house and the outback the other. He caught a couple of skinks (big geko things) for us to see and generally taught us loads. Anyway next stop was our week volunteering with the dolphins- what an experience! We didn't want to leave- actually we left a day later than we should have. We learned loads about dolphins and how to identify them from their dorsal fins. We had dolphins swmming around us 2-3 times a day for 7 days! We were in charge of 3 of the dolphins (Surprise, Puck and Nicky) who we got to know well. Anyway other than the dolphins we also met some really cool people- Blair a conservation researcher who

What a cool experience!
took us out in his speed boat to track down certain dolphins and take data to ensure that the human influence wasn't affecting their natural behaviour. We had laugh with him and some of his mates one night and I slaughtered them at cards! hehe. We also met up with another English couple from the Lake district who we are planning to meet in NZ and an Israli couple who we plan to meet in Sydney. We got them in to volunteer work and spent alot of time with them- Bob (ashalom- couldn't pronounce to begin with) even taught us to sea fish- I was rubbish though. On our last full day we got to go on a free catermaran cruise and got to be dugons (like manatees). So after dragging ourselves away we have headed up north to coral bay where we have been snorkalling the ningaloo reef. Lots more driving ahead- we do about 4-6 hours driving per day! Sorry take so long to add entry (sorry dad!) prob be anouther couple of weeks till next time. Hope alls ok bye for now XxX
