Me too! Me too! was Mum's cry of excitement when Lyn and Neville asked me to go to Dijon with them. Our pilgrimage to Gallipoli certainly fired the ANZAC spirit in this wonderful, amazing, now 92 year old. So...in 8 days time we leave Melbourne, the four of us, together. Grandmas in Gallipoli, now Friends in France. Part of this trip will cover areas of France that my grandfather travelled through 100 years ago. His diary records that he was in love with France....and how he enjoyed and appreciated the hot cups of tea waiting at the train stations....

Champagne, champagne and champagne
Dear Jan, Dear Mabel ... hello you two international jet-setters! Looking forward to following you around France while you drink champagne and eat croissants, chocolates and ham and Dijon mustard baguettes. Then there's the coffee and hot chocolates - I wonder how many Euros a hot cup of tea at the railway stations will be?! Perhaps they'll throw in a croissant when they learn how famous you are (Mabel). Oh you too Jan! Enjoy every little bit of it, safe travelling and drink a champagne or two for us xxx
