Well Hi again, found Internet after being in the outback. We drove from Perth to Margaret River (268 kilometres) through the Aussie outback in approx 4 hours listening to the Cricket on the car radio. We saw Kangaroos in the fields in groups of 20, munching at the brown grass. The temp was 39 degrees and roads were straight and more straight. Finally arrived at our destination which was about 25 km off the main route. It was a detached chalet overlooking a lake. It was like a retirement home with a spa bath all very posh but not really in our league of simple bed and breakfast. We visited the beach where the sand was as white as snow ? but as hot as coal. Fran was walking on the towel but could feel the heat through it. Lovely beach but could only stay there for 30 mins or we would have been frazzled. Tomorrow we are off to Karri Valley.
