Hello and Happy Easter to you all. I hope you all eat to your hearts content, and bathe yourselves in chocolate bunnies!

I write to you today from a house in the suburbs on Melbourne. Mordiallic would be the exact community. Kevin and I are house sitting for the couple (Dexter and Nancy) that he works for (landscaping) as they and their gorgeous 18 month old made a trek to India for the Easter holidays to see Dexter's family for the first time in 3 years! We are privileged enough to be asked to watch their place and feed the cat for the next 17 days. The location is great as we are a mere 10 minutes away from the ocean. The house is decked with state of the art home theater, huge backyard, free internet and long distance calling ( get ready family... onslaught of calls to be happening this week...) and a kitchen that is state of the art! Suburbia at it's finest...should be an interesting experience... :-p

Since our arrival here , we have kept busy in the city for the past month. I searched and searched for a new job, as the cafe I was at, wasn't doing it for me anymore. The state of the wonderful economy made it a daily treasure hunt for me, letting me explore my patience tolerance! oh fun! Needless to say I've managed to find (with the help of my friend Brice) a great cafe/bar that is across the street from the University to work at. It's a blast, I work with tons of travelers and students, loud great music at all times, and one of the prettiest areas in the city. Pay is decent, and well, it's a job! Hurray!!! it will allow us to head up to the Gold Coast next month, and pay rent!!
Kevin has kept busy with the landscaping, and we've started to explore Melbourne more daily, really immersing ourselves in the city which we've grown to love.
We went to South Melbourne beach a few days ago, and it was lovely, we had a beer at the bar overlooking the water, and enjoyed the sand beneath our toes, remembering that yet again we were standing on a beach in APRIL, and it's been almost 1 full year since either of us have felt temperatures below 0! HALLELUJAH! How will we ever survive winter again??? We've also just enjoyed the time of our friends here, and have sadly started to look for flights to return back to Canada. (maybe not sad for you who will get to see our smiling faces again, but sad for us.... )

anyways, I will sign off, and talk to you all soon....

I hear it's warming up at home! So exciting for you all. enjoy the sun!
