At Shaz and Wayne's place right on the lake
Well after three weeks at The Knaggs Big 1, we have left Wangaratta to head to Yarrawonga. Had a lovely time in Wangaratta, with a couple of trips to Melbourne on the train, its really a great way to go and much the same time wise as driving. John had an appointment with the dermatology clinic at Western so headed to Melbourne on Friday 4th Feb, had a gorgeous catch up with my friend Ronnie while John was at the Western, shopping Footscray Market and a lovely brunch. Then had a night at the Sofitel which was a real treat, as always, we love coming here and use our ACCOR card for dinner as well getting 50% off the food. Saturday headed back to Wang and had a lovely dinner out with our landlords at the Bulls Head Hotel, the restaurant there was on Kitchen Nightmares in 2022, but this is one of our faves in Wang, and again a lovely meal! Sunday pack up for Yarrawonga and off and on our way around lunchtime, we were spoilt again and hosted by our friends Shaz and Wayne, they have not long moved into their lovely new home right on the lake

Kaz and her niece Chantelle
near Chinaman's Island, with a few above 35 degree days, the pool was a godsend and put it to good use! A very social week, catching up with our best man Hayden and his wife Janelle and son Matthew, Hayd cooked us a superb roast dinner and we had a fantastic catch, always lots of laughs and fun! Wednesday a catch up with our old plumber from Romsey who has lived in Mulwala for many years, a great catch up with Ross and Julie. The RSL/Club Mulwala was frequented as well, great club with fantastic meals and happy hour every day, their steak night is the best with a porterhouse for $12, very good quality steak...a steal! Yarrawonga has grown so much over the years with new estates going up everywhere. We had a lot of lovely walks around the lake and around Yarrawonga. Great afternoon with Dawn and Barry Williams too, Dawn is daughter of my beautiful Aunty Joy and Uncle Eric, close family friends who I lived with when I first came to Melbourne in 1971. Our last weekend we spent a lot of time with our mates from Leongatha, Pat and Gordy, who were up visiting their

With my three cousins
daughter who now lives in Yarrawonga, a lunch and then a Sunday barby at their daughters, great way to finish up our week at Yarra. Our last night at Yarra we had a dinner at the RSL, 12 of us, with 8 driving over from Wang to have roast dinner night at the RSL Club, another great night. Off to Melbourne on the 14th Feb with an overnight on the Goulburn River at Seymour, quite a few vans there, probably a dozen as its a free camp and a really scenic and quiet spot, then to get van serviced in Campbellfield and catch up with our man Dreon at Caravan Sales, such a great guy, goes beyond the norm to help and make everything perfect for our van. Had a trip to Ballarat to pick up parcels that were delivered there (van stuff of course) then onto our home for 10 days, Geelong Showgrounds, power and water for $30 a night, they have 87 sites there, good little earner for the Showgrounds and well over half the price of caravan parks around the area, one down Queenscliff way was $78 a night, you expect these prices when you get up

Certainly lost the touch
around the Kimberley but not down here. Saturday night up with the Marvillas, what a great night at Tex Mex Ocean Grove, Lunch with the Maureen and John from Pt Arlington at a gorgeous restaurant called Frankie, Tuesday a day and overnight with Rhonda and Graeme at Point Lonsdale, and what a magnificent rib eye roast meal we had....great catch up with lots of stories and laughs, hoping we cross paths with Rhonda and Graeme in SA or WA when they go to Broome! Thursday the brother from Queensland arrived in town and had arranged a luncheon at the Elephant and Castle with a few old friends, which was a great catch and the food was pretty good too! Saturday saw our weeks stay come to an end at the Geelong Showgrounds and we relocated to the wedding venue at Stonehaven for the Wedding of the Year, Mick and Noni our family friends daughter Brianna finally married her soulmate Derek and what a beautiful couple they are! Even though the rain was around for some of the day it was a really wonderful day full of love, laughter and fun! Fantastic food and dancing the night away all made for

Hello from PM
So glad to hear/read your travels. Always love reading them, makes me feel I’m on the trip too!! How I wish. We had a breakaway for 4days in Echuca a couple of weeks ago. Stayed at a lovely Airbnb dog friendly so we could take Billy. Very warm during the day but cool nights so makes it copable. We were recommended a great restaurant out of Moama, Riverbank, an old homestead on banks of Murray River, at the back of Moama Waters caravan park. Lovely to get away. All good here. Enjoy Ballarat.
