Australia is a developed country ranked as 2 compared to the United States ranked at number 3. The number signifies the ranking of the most developed countries. The rankings are determined by using HDI, which stands for Human Development Indicators. The lower the number, the more developed the country is. Therefore, Australia is a more developed country than the United States. Australia's life expectancy is 82 which is relatively old compared to the United States 78.7 years old. Life expectancy shows how developed a country is, for it it shows how advanced medicine is which would extend life expectancy. That is because medicine would cure many diseases which might hinder age. Schooling years in Australia are 12 years of school. On the other hand, the United States schooling years is 13.3 years which is about 12 years of school. The more educated the people in each country are, the educated the country is overall. Also, this would result in a better government and political status. The more educated a person is, the better job they could get, so they could be contributing to their countries economy. Australia's gender inequality index value is 0.115 and the United States' gender inequality index value

is 0.256. Since the lower the value of Australia's GII is less than America's GII, Australia is a country with more gender equality than it may be in USA.

The United States and Australia are head to head on who is the developed and developing country. However, based on this alone, I would say that Australia is the more developed country compared to the United States.
