By the time Byron turned three, he was already quite his own man. He loves books and stories, and those stories become a wonderful part of his life. Often, there's a treasure map in the house, and Byron is on a mission to find it. Or his helicopter rescues people, while evading the 'baddies', which Byron is inclined to kill despite our exhortations that tolerance is a good thing.

Byron's imagination can turn anything into a phone. First it was mainly remote controls and other electronic looking things. But now it is simply whatever is at hand - robots, cars and even drink bottles. Perhaps that's a sign of things to come, and Byron is just ahead of the curve.

For such a sweet little fellow, he has quite a temper. Perhaps it is just a three year old thing. Or perhaps he has learnt from China, and he occasionally shows us his 'angry face', to remind us how much more pleasant his friendly face is! But he is sweet even when he's angry, and never more so than when he says, "I'm really angry!". A three year old, going on 15.

One of the wonderful things that has remained constant about Byron in his exciting three years is his fondness of cuddles. There are few nicer moments than when Byron quietly rests his head against us. He's a special little boy who gives us such special times. Happy Birthday Byron!
