In our temporary accommodation
Given we had successfully applied for two apartments, we decided that we were both well due a good night out!
By total coincidence, Stacey Lee, a friend of mine (Ricky) of about 14 years (as we worked out that night), was passing though Melbourne that weekend on her two year tour of Australia and New Zealand - so we invited her and her 4 week travel companion, Gemma from Elgin, round for some drinks.

Stacey also had friends from when she was in Aberdeen in Melbourne - so we got them round too and had a total p*** up in the apartment before heading into town!

We went to the Trader Bar int he city, which is a totally cool concept in drinking - basically the price of drinks varies with demand every 5 mins or so - and the "share" prices come up on plasma screens - so you can decide what drink you want based on the current price! It gives you the highest and lowest price the drink will go to, so you can work out if you are paying too much for it - really cool but, of course, the drunker the get the less you care - Claire was drinking cocktails all night at $15 a go!

We are like two weeks behind with the blog just now - I'm sorry! Work is mega busy and we dont' have broadband in the flat yet - but we're getting it on Monday!!!! So from Monday excpect loads of pics and stories of our adventures in Mebourne!

Hope all is well at home!

Update - broadband was "half" installed yesterday - they are coming back later in the week aparently to finish it off - we'll get there!
