Origin of Travel: Cairns Final Destination: Melbourne Status: Achieved Well, after about 3 weeks of driving from Cairns to the south of Australia, we have finally made it to Melbourne. On January 15, 1990, the first part of the london bridge collapsed into the water. Luckily no one was hurt, but a few tourists were left on the other part for a few hours till a helicopter came to rescue them.

This is where Tom and Eva (the 2 survivors) of the Loch Ard were stranded in the dead of the winter 1887. We were absolutely freezing!!
