convention center
Nothing too exciting =/ I know I am extremely behind on updating all of you, but i'm getting there, this stuff costs money ya know! (Now I know what you mean, Eli).
So I will just skip over a lot of the boring places we went to and get to some things that are a little more entertaining. A lot of the venues that we are going to are basically teh same thing over and over again, ad it is all just repeatitive and mundane...but I gotta do what I gotta do. One of the more interesting things, in my books, was having class at the Melbourne Victoria University; a higher end school. We were lectured by 3 different professors and they all seemed pretty cool. The most distracting thing was one of the women professors kept using the word "ginormous" and I didn't know that was a real word...and in all honesty I'm not sure if it's a real word even now. I never checked up on that...I was trying to keep track on how many times she said it, but I lost it. All the other ones were interesting though.
On the way back we were getting ready for our
convention center
money money money money........MONEY event for the week. At the beginning of our trip, we were separated into 5 groups, and each group is expected to put on an event with entertainment and food with a budget of 850 dollars. I am in the last group with Sarah, John, Michelle and Christina. So we have the most pressure on us, we need to leave a lasting impression. Well, the first group that had gone was Group one (duh), and their event was bowling. Woohoo! I was stoked! Afterall, I have been bowling since the 3rd grade, but it's been a while since I've gone. We were all mixed up, no one with their roommates and the group tried to split up the "clicks" which we definately have. No bueno!! I liked that they did it like that. We ended up bowling only 2 games, I did a 156 and a 130 something.....not bad for not bowling for a while! haha...definately reminded me of the old days. The event came with a burger, fries and a drink; either pop or a beer. Beer for me plz 😊
The second group that went actually did a Scavenger Hunt. Now....we are all 20-25 years of age.

Stroke! Stroke! Stroke!
A crew team practices down the Yarra River And half the group are members of AA. It is kind of hard to motivate 25 kids to run around a rainy cold city to look for things. Everyone was really skeptical...even me. But then the day of the event I was excited and giddy lol. I wanted to win...We had 10 objectives to complete and then race to the finish which was the restuarant. Unfortunately....I came in 2nd place with my team. Caitlin and I got really into it and had to almost yell at one of the guys to move because the faster we got it done, the faster we could get inside, eat and drink! Oh...plus its for participation points on this class. haha He was about 10 yards behind us the whole time, doing it on purpose, smoking. He was being childish. Anyways---we got to dinner and I sat down in my chair to find a towel to dry off with, and a little tiny kangaroo as a keep-sake. There was a big stuffed kangaroo, holding the Aussie flag on teh table and I attempted to steal it, but I got yelled at by one of the group members. =) The group holding the event handed

I think it's cool =/ out first and 2nd place prizes. First place was a nice pen and something else..I forgot, I wasn't a fan of the first place prize. But I was excited for my 2nd place prize-- a boomerang! Woohoo! This just meant one less gift I had to buy for someone 😊. shhh. I didn't say that. Teh soon after held a raffle for the left over boomerang, and the large stuffed animals on the table. When they reached in the bag for the animal I wanted, I yelled out "Anthony!!!" just for luck......and you betcha I won! haha, they called my name and I snatched the animal off the table. Each prize after that I kept yelling my name before they drew the name out, but it failed to work. Oh well....can't have everything!
The next day we had our daily tour, which if my memory serves me right, it was the Convention Center. Nothing to excited. It was strategically placed next to a Four Points hotel, and the Crown casino. Everyone couldn't wait to get out of that place. Tour after tour, blah blah blah....we just want to explore the beautiful city, filled with odd signs, which to this

The Bowling alley, before I brought on my wrath 8) day I still don't know what they mean, and bars waiting for our tabs to be opened. Tim, from the hotel; said he wanted to hang out with us that night, so we all planned on going to Hard Rock Cafe! I havn't been to a hardrock since....middle school? I don't know for sure, but it's been a longgggggg time. I decided to order the ever famous, Aussie Burger. A nice chuck of beef covered with onion, lettuce, tomato, which I picked off, and get this--a fried egg and a big thick slice of beet root. They LOVE beets here. Everything has beets on/in it. I can't complain though, I like 'em. The burger was great!!! I was excited, my next burger of choice is a "wet burger" which I still don't know what's on that exactly. =P But I hear they're good!
So there--thats like a 3 day jump. *whew*
