Erinsborough High School - wheres miss Kennedy, or Smith or whatever name she is going by these days
Hey Gang
Just had to get on t'internet and tell you about the great couple of days i have just had.
All started yesterday when i completed my pilgrimage to Mecca... Okay so i went on the Neighbours set tour. Same difference. Got on the bus nicely painted with "Official Neighbours Tour" on the side so that everyone could point at the bus full of sad pomes. The driver kept us entertained on the way to "Erinsborough" with some music vids. Not just any music vids though - ex-neighbours star vids. We had everything from Kylie and Jason to Craig McLachlan and the twins (whose names i cant remember for the life of me). First stop was Erinsborough High School. Its actually a foreign language school but once they had the sign nicely hung it was as if we had been projected into the t.v. Well Kinda, it was cool anyway. Next we pulled up next to the studios where all the stuff is filmed. Could just see the roof of lassiters over the fence and we stayed there for a little while in case any of the actors came out to say hi. No luck with that so we moved

Just not the same without Madge really is it
onto the good bit... Ramsey Street. Well Pin Oak Court. Can't understand why they don't just change it to Ramsey Street anyway but hey ho. Luckily they weren't filming so we got to have a good wander around and take lots of piccies of the houses (while being careful not to trample on Harolds flowers of course). Just as we were about to leave the vans arrived to get the street ready for filming. One van pulled up with a load of padded mats on the back so curiosity got the better of me and i had to ask. Apparently Stingrays drinking problem gets alot worse and he ends up falling off of number 30's roof!! Also managed to find out that Boyd and janey (no idea how to spell her name) get married!! Shocking. Anyway on the bus back to reality we got to choose two episodes to watch. Naturally the first was THE wedding of the century, Scott and Charlene, and then for the humour factor we watched the one where Todd kicked the bucket. Such a good little trip.
Apologes to any non neighbours fans who i have just bored the pants off of but i just

The amazing expanding house. I think it had about 47 people sleeping in it at one time
had to tell you. After my morning of tack i felt the need to do something a little more cultured in the afternoon (and a little more free - funds are low peeps) so i headed to the National Gallery of Victoria. Really cool building with some great works especially as they had a huge photography exhibition on. I then went up the Rialto Tower, which is the tallest office building in the Southern Hemisphere, to check out the view. Made sure i got up there about 15 minutes before sunset so i got a day view and a night view (top tip no. 245).
Up with the birds this morning for a day trip out to the Great Ocean Road. The road runs along some pretty amazing coastline. Highlight of the day has to be the Twelve Apostles. Great big slabs of rock standing out in the sea. There are actually about 13 of them but i won't be picky. Got a great view of them by going up in a teeny little helicopter. Was pretty scary but well worth the views of the coastline. Another highlight has to be Bells Beach. For any non surfy people, and anyone

Don't you just wanna get everyone out for a game of cricket?
who hasn't seen Point Break, Bells beach is like the best place in the world to surf. They hold the Rip Curl Championships there every year and in the movie Patrick Swayze keeps going on about the ultimate ride being at bells. We even watched Point Break on the journey back so i was happy.
Just a short little blog for you guys today i'm afraid. Australia are playing Greece in a pre world cup friendly and they are showing it in Federation Square so i'm off to soak up the atmosphere.
