This week I was sick, so it was a bit of a write0off week, however I still did a lot!
On Tuesday of last week it was my day off. My friends from work and I decided to have dinner together (of course on our one day off we all go into work). I had the grilled seafood platter! (Oysters Natural, Oysters Kilpatrick, Morton Bay Bugs, King Prawns, Prawns cutlets, Whole Crab, Calamari, Fish Filet and Mussels in a Napoli chilli sugo...... aka AMAZING!). Then we bounced around the restaurants neighboring us: some drinks here, some desert there, some more food for Brianna because once I eat a lot I always get hungry again after. We formed a little group and met up with Trish. Trish and I being the tourist we are were brought to see the penguins on st Kilda's peir! Every night the penguins come to shore to sleep and there are viewing points where you can see them sleeping. It was so cool!
Its so crazy to see animals that you know, or seen in the zoo in real life, in a real environment. Last night I was so excited just to see a possum
for the first time! (thought right away about the possum book Adam, Mom, and Dad loved and I hated).
For the rest of the week it was a lot of sleeping and a lot of working. I still was able to hang out with friends after work, but during the day I did my best to get better (yes mother, I took my Chinese pills).
This week, I was tired of being sick so I decided it was all mental (and I kind of worked!). On Monday I had an offer to be taking jet skiing! And it was fannnnnnntastic! So so so so much fun. I had to run to work after with my arms, legs, hips, bum and hands killing me but it was ll worth it! The nose of the skii was going like 5-6 METERS.... not feet.... METERS of the ground. The bum part was only going 3-4 meters, but still! I can't wait to go again, and I can't wait for after i buy my water property and boat, to get my own 😊
Yesterday, Trish had the day off so we wanted to do something, and decided to go to Phillip
Island (however we weren't entirely sure what you do there) and of course as we began heading up there it started to pour. Once we arrived we went to the penguin sanctuary. We were 2 hours early for the penguins... and we had to pay 36 dollars to see them. We decided it wasnt worth it because we can do it for free back here. So we were directed to see the "nobbies" and seas. (I of course misunderstood and though they were referring to the seas as nobbies but nobbies are big rocks in the ocean.... pictures to come).
The scenery was absolutely beautiful!... however no seas! Wrong season! but i enjoyed it none the less.
The rest of the day we spend driving along the coast and looking at the one of a kind Australian view!
Yesterday was my day off, so now Im back to work all this week. Working hard because I have excatly two weeks before i leave! and then i get to..... DIVE DIVE DIVE!
