Packing

Just over a week to go and it's time to get things packing.

This photo pretty well covers everything except what I'll be wearing, my bike pedals, and a few carry on objects (passport, Kindle, mp3 player, water bottle, etc.).

Here's a rough list starting top left:


• Towel (gotta know where that is at all times!), facewasher (30+ year old Santa Claus one!), and other toiletries.
• USB charger with multiple wall plug adaptors for different countries, head torch and two cameras (waterproof, and normal).
• Fold up plates and mugs (love these).
• Acer Netbook (so we can do our taxes, keep this blog up to date and watch Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones).
• Fuel bottle, medications (Probiotica to reduce likelihood of gastro), Andrographis tablets (to give the immune system a boost), Travel Calm (so I don't have a vommie on any boats or dodgy buses), ReDormin (Valerian and Hops mix to help sleep).
• Next row: Bike shoes, bike gloves, ear plugs, bag of socks and undies.
• Print outs of travel docs, notepad and pen for writing stuff down.
• MSR Whisperlite, small travel bag (in the red), cuttlery, thongs, umberella.
• Warm gloves (it's still cold in Europe!), rain jacket.
• Half a tent (in small green bag - nena carrying the other half), thermarest.
• Bag containing other clothes (shorts, zip convertible pants, bathers, nylon shirt, thermal pants, bike clothes, hat, t-shirts, and a beanie).
• Pillow, mozzie net (dark green bag), sleeping bag.
• Camera tripod.
• And of course on the chair, the trusty old backpack that will be carrying it all.



Note that the fluro butterfly is not coming unless it's happy to fly itself over.

Now... what have I missed?
Photocopies of passports, plane tickets etc left with someone?

No plane tickets - just a print out of our itinerary which I can get online. I scanned a copy of our passports and emailed it to both of us. Everything else can be reprinted from emails if required. So, should be ok. :)

I'm sure you'll have your dental floss...great for emergency string.
