Man made tree along the Nullarbor
We woke up on the Wednesday morning expecting wind and rain but were pleasantly surprised to see sunshine and not even a slight breeze! Wow we couldn't believe it, we would not have to drive into the wind across the Nullarbor. We packed up and headed south towards Norseman and then east along the Nullarbor (Eyre highway). The trip was quite warm during the day but really cold in the mornings. It was quite diferent this time with just the 2 of and no Flemings to chat to over the UHF. I finally got to see a camel, but it was dead 😞 It was about 5k from the road and I most likely was hit by a truck ....... I wonder what condition the truck was in after hitting it!! We stopped to take a few photo's of some man made trees along the sides of the road, its funny what people will do to amuse themselves when traveling for so long lol. The first night we stayed at a free camping spot still in WA along the straighest road in Australia. The next day we crossed the border and had to put our clocks forward an hour and half

Another man made tree along the Nullarbor
(twice in 45 minute increments), so our day was alot shorter than normal. The second night we stayed at one of the same spots we stayed at on the way to WA. When we woke the next morning it was freezing, about 5 deg inside the van at 8am. We rugged up and headed on arriving in Ceduna in the afternoon, we stopped for fuel but kept on towards Port Augusta. It was still about 460k till Port Augusta so we stayed at another free camping spot at a little town called Kyancutta (I think thats how its spelt). After another cold morning we drove for another few hours till we got to Port Augusta.
After booking into a caravan park we headed off shopping. We bought some groceries and a chess set. Nathan decided he wanted to teach me chess. Our first game last night (my first ever) was definitely an easy one for him. I had no idea what I was doing and kept forgetting what each pawn did and so missed so many times when I could get his pawns. Oh well hopefully I improve, practice makes perfect! Today we have had a relaxing day, doing washing

When we arrived at the Kalgoorlie caravan park an envelope was waiting for us to pick up. Yup inside was "The Jocks" that the Flemings left for us. Nathan added them to the tree.
