Another long day of straight roads and pouring rain, man I need to cover these kms !! Made a total of 765 kms today, which considering the weather is an awesome achievement. Knocked down camp this morning surrounded by a beaut Nulabor sunrise, although the clouds rapidly set in for another day of heavy rain. It seemed strange some how passing back through landmarks the other way round from the last trip, although the fuel prices haven’t changed much. First stop was Eulca on the SA/WA border, and for the next 100kms noticed the difference in the condition and width of the roads in SA ... much narrower and less maintained, which is a bit scary when 30-40 metre Road Trains are passing in the opposite direction at a 100kms per hour, and taking no prisoners ... read more

DAY 157 The morning was gorgeously warm, and we slept so well, for me that is nothing new, but last night we both dreamt heavily, Caroline about her girls friends, one of them was taking £10 from each of them for a deposit for a trip or a meal and Caroline said she was trying to give them £10.00 and asked what it was for, but they would not speak to her or take the money from her, I think her sub conscious is playing a part here as she said it felt like she was not part of the gang, which even though we know this is not true, to an extent they have to get on and do things as we are getting on with our adventure, guilt must be part of this subconscious. ... read more
