I'd always wanted to visit this small but important historic town in South Australia, but it wasn't until recently that I got the chance. Some friends of mine worked at a nearby mine, and I later visited there, but first I wanted to get a chance to properly explore the
lovely town of Cedona .
Car HireI was quite pleased as the
car hire process at the airport was painless and fast. I simply filled out a little paperwork, told them what kind of make and model I was interested in, and a few minutes later I was walking out of the door with the keys in my hand. The car was roomy and well-maintained, and was clean and fresh on the interior. It was only when I looked at the instruments that I realised I was driving a for hire car instead of a brand new vehicle right off the lot.<br style="color: font-family: verdana, arial; font-size: 10px; line-height:

Things To Do in CedunaLabour Day is huge down in South Australia, and Ceduna always kicks off the festivities with their annual
Oysterfest . For more than 20 years, thousands of people have been flocking to this seaside town to enjoy the delicious oysters harvested right off the coast of South Australia, and now I know why. Children, adults, and families will enjoy a smorgasbord of different fun activities, including a celebrity chef cook-off, a gala dinner, free music, children's entertainers, and a large and joyous street parade through downtown. The whole thing was capped off perfectly with a huge fireworks display.
Ceduna AttractionsMovie buffs will recognise many of the historic buildings in Ceduna from the blockbuster 1997 film Kiss or Kill. More recently, an independent film entitled <em style="color:

After soaking in the celebrity atmosphere, I wandered down to the National Trust School House Museum, which was filled to the brim with really cool information and displays about Ceduna's history. There's even a special room dedicated to a nearby British nuclear testing site, making this informative museum one of the key Ceduna attractions I was glad that I visited.
Ceduna TourismFlying into the airport is comfortable, and retrieving your luggage and getting on your way is painless, simple and fast. The city of Ceduna itself is just a short distance from the airport, so you can get right into town with no problem. Since Ceduna tourism is starting to pick up, I was lucky enough to rent a boat for me and my wife to explore the Great Australian Bight. The fishing was fantastic and we ate like royalty when we got back to shore.
My Overall ImpressionBeautiful and picturesque historical town in gorgeous Southern Australia. Although it isn't as flashy or popular as some big-name holiday destination spots, anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing good time will definitely enjoy a visit to Ceduna. There were definitely plenty of things to do in Ceduna, and the food was fresh, delicious and unbelievably tasty. Highly recommended.
