Our flight home from LA was uneventful. I slept for a while and then read. We were at the front of economy but in a three so I was in the middle. Landed 45 minutes early in Melbourne and were quickly though passport control and customs.

We checked our bags through to Adelaide and were just going through security into the Domestic terminal when we spotted Sam and Tracey in the next line! They were off on Sam's birthday trip to Tasmania. We couldn't have timed it better if we tried. Sat and had coffee and a chat with them and once they headed off to board we went to the Qantas Club for thirty minutes.

Then it was onto the plane for Adelaide and the hour flight home. We touched down to sunny skies but cool weather and were soon zooming along Kensington Road to home.

Always good to be back in our own place. It had been a pleasant trip, especially renewing our friendship with Peter.
