Tuesday I said goodbye to my time at The Magdalene Centre. I cannot even begin to explain how difficult it was to part will all of the relationships formed over the past three months. I was and still am so honored and blessed to have had the great pleasure of working with and for a great group of individuals. My heart overflows with thankfulness for their openess, kindness, and hospitality.
I was given a proper Aussie roasting which included a beautiful breakfast meal and an Aussie farewell sing along that Peter (my supervisor) wrote for all volunteers present to sing chorus. I was moved to tears and very much speechless. I did not expect to be honored in such a way...Peter shared a few words along with come other volunteers, everyone pitched in a purchased a South Australia Trivial Pursuit game and a card filled with heartwarming words and then ended with a prayer. The day was filled with many hugs, kisses, goodbyes, gifts, food and tears...I will carry the memories of my time there with me always and rest assured that I will NOT forget any of you (for those of you reading).

An Aussie Ode to Tanya
(Sung to the tune of Waltzing Matilda)
A true blue beaut Social Work Student

1. Once a jolly Texas
came to see the land of Oz
With the help of Flinders Univer-sity
So she came to stay in Adelaide
In the State of South Australia
For a geezer-at what she could learn and see.

Chorus
Welcome to Tanya
Welcome to Tanya
Welcome to Tanya from the land of the free
Welcome to dear old Adelaide
In the State of South Australia
G'day mate to Tanya to the land of the free

2. Soon the jolly Texan
Came to find some work to do
At the Magdal-ene Centre
One. Two. Three
And she landed in Carring-ton St
Which was for us such a relief
When we saw her smiling face so filled with glee

We love youTanya
We love you Tanya
We love Tanya we love you for free
When hard at work or larking' round
We love the fact that us you've found
We love you Tanya We love you for free

3.
Then the jolly Texan
Really had some work to do
Thanks to the holidays of our Peg-ee
She was put in charge of tins and cheques,
which was for us a great relief,
In our time of emergen-cee

Tanya we love you
Tanya we love you
Tanya we love you we love you for free
Your our favorite septic tank
From our custard tarts we want to thank
Tanya we thank you, we thank you for free

4. Finally the Texan dear
Said she really had to go
And no is what we want to say.
One. Two. Three.
But the day has come to bid farewell,
To a bonza sheila-Tanya's swell,
With the greatest of reluctance
We now wet you free

We'll miss you Tanya
We'll miss you Tanya
We'll miss you Tanya from the diaper to napp-ee
Thank you for the fun and games
the hard work and silly names
We'll miss you Tanya as we set you free.
