The Final Post 2014 Trip

I thought I'd add one final post to this years blog .... I never actually did the final post last year!
We were pleased to wake up yesterday at Khao Lak for our "second" "final" day to sunshine!! I was not so pleased, however, to hear the tragic news about MH17 which was tragically taken down in Ukraine only hours earlier. When you have to get on a plane, the last thing you want to hear is this! Anyway, we decided after breakfast to head straight to the pool ... Which is where we stayed until about 3pm. It was a perfect way to end a fantastic 10 nights in Thailand. We even ordered lunch by the pool and had a couple of final Mojitos and Singa Beers ... Just for good times sake 😊
Our airport transfer arrived at 5pm local time (8pm Brisbane time Friday night) and I admit we were much more organized second time around (he he). We were already checked out and waiting when the minivan arrived. We did laugh ... It was the same driver who took us to Cheow Lan Lake ... So we braced ourselves for some forward and backward stop start motion. And that's exactly what we got! Honestly ... This guy had the most strange (and annoying) driving pattern.
We left Phuket at 8:30pm (11:30pm Brisbane time) and flew to Bangkok then transferred onto our Brisbane bound flight which left at about 3am Brisbane time.
We all had some sleep (thankfully) but arrived in Brisbane today at 11:30am feeling a bit tired of course!
By 7:30pm the boys were all in bed and Scott and I fell asleep soon after! BUT now EVERYONE has been awake again and still (at 10:30pm) Kobe, Scott and I are awake ... Frustrating!
This was my perfect excuse to do the final blog... It might help me fall asleep. Night night and look forward to seeing everyone soon xx
