We have been staying in Airlir Beach for the last 5 days- constantly checking the weather forecast as we DID NOT want to sail the Whitsunday Islands in the bloody rain. Well, the forecast predicted rain, rain and more rain so being pushed for time we booked for Monday. Got upi that morning and there were a couple of light showers - groan but thakfully as we sailed out to sea the sun started to shine for us- HURRAY!!!!!!!! We were seriously so relieved - as you have probably gathered we are getting pretty sick of the downpours!

So, spent two nights on the boat in a very interesting shaped double bed. The boat held 12 people in total and we were with a really nice bunch of people so had a really good time. Basically sailing around the Whitsunday Islands, stopping to snorkel and generally just lounging in the sunshine - does it get much better?

Stopped off at Whitehaven Beach and put on our Stinger suits for swimming and snorkelling - bit of a pain having to keep putting them on but more painful to be stung by one of those buggers i'm sure!

Have just booked Frase Island for next week - just about to get into Kermit and hit the road....

xx
