Thursday 25 May. Chilly nights mean bright cloudless days. In Maroochydore a heron with a cloak of grey feathers. Those pterodactyls, the pelicans, one with a meter long fishing line glinting in the sun (caught on foot). I read in the paper a record May low. Minus two in Gimpie. Swim and a schooner at Surf Club. All's well. Stamped another 300 stickers at library. They can't stop me now. Huge piece of fish (plus chips) at harbour ($7). A guy told me an article appeared in The Gold Coast Bulletin with colour photo. That covers the stretch from the border to Brisbane!!! I'm trying to remember the interview.
