Enjoyed the Great Ocean Road drive. Very spectacular scenery but a lot of driving. Did about 600kms which took 13 hours in total but well worth it. The following day was increadibly hot in Melbourne so didn't do a great deal. Watched some of the Test Match live on the big screen in Federation Square.

Now in Port Douglas. Our suite at the Peninsula Hotel is excellent. Very spacious and well equipped with a large balcony and huge bath (about the size of a small swimming pool!). Had a lazy day here chilling by the pool, very hot and humid, right on the edge of the rain forest. Off on a mountain train and cable car trip tomorrow then snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef a couple of days later.

We are off out for a New Years Eve dinner and firework display tomorrow night so would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.
