Goondiwindi Den's 60th Birthday

24-7-10 to the 1-8-10 Well busy with the 2 day Polo X event, the Mouse Calcutta went well & Maddy’s Mouse came 2nd & she won $50. On the Sunday we found a snake on one of the fields, it was small but poisonous . Maddy had a great time on the back of the quad bike with Mal as he was marking out the fields for Polo X . Mick & Nick played well & it was good weekend, but very tiring . On the Tues Mick eventually got the 40ft container around to the new place, they are going to keep the horse food & gear in it. On Wed Margaret & Bruce arrived & Maddy was so pleased to see them, she says she is very lucky that she has 2 Nan’s & 2 Pop’s. On Thurs it started to rain & it would not stop & the yard was a big Swimming Pool again & there is a lot of black soil so the horses make a big mess of the paddocks. The 2 Nan’s had a great time , we took Maddy to Morning Tea & down the street. On Saturday (its still raining) Merry & Jim arrived from Wollongong for Den’s Birthday. I had cooked Fried Rice, & Marg had helped prepare some food for Sunday. Corey, Val & Hayden came down from Chinchilla & we all had a nice avo (except I had too much to drink) , everyone went out to tea & it was a very pleasant day. Sunday 1-8-10 Den’s Birthday, Happy Birthday Den, you sure don’t look 60. We awoke to sunshine, great stuff. Merry, Marg & Nicky all chipped in & we cooked & prepared a BBQ lunch & all went well, it was just Family & a few friends. We had a nice afternoon. Den had lots of presents, phone calls & texts from everyone & he got enough cash to buy his Hydraulic Jack for the van. All in all ha had great company & a Great Day
