Crocodilos
At one with nature There are no excuses for sitting around in Cairns and the next tour was to Cape Tribulation. There are two places that you can stay; Crocodilos or the Jungle Lodge. Ever indecisive, I opted for a night in each.
Crocodilos was very, well, nice. If you wanted a pretty place to stay, then you can look no further. If you wanted a bit of excitement then you would be VERY disappointed. In the evening we played Trivial Pursuit which was a complete nightmare as it was the Australian version and none of us knew any of the answers. Unable to contain my excitement I took an early night which was pretty much the norm at Crocodilos.

The best of what Crocodilos had to offer won by a girl) and a buckaroo contest consisting of a barrel strung over the pool. We were told that the pool is commonly known as 'the sperm-bank' and later on that night it became apparent why.
The following day was Melbourne Cup day and there was a horse auction, followed by the Cape Tribulation Cup. There was also a bit of 'hair of the dog' in the form of a Champagne breakfast which helped the hangover somewhat. No one went anywhere near the pool.
