Cairns
Northern Beaches Long time no news but this is also due that Australiens are charging absolutely everything. The best I had so far was 1 dollar for a 3 hour Air Conditioning in our dorm room...
Anyway, we arrived in Cairns and met up with my belgian friend Bene and her boyfriend Lio also making a trip around Auzziland and exactly at the same time in Cairns. It was awesome to meet her all the way down here! We took the opportunity to rent a car together and planned a 3 day trip around Cairns and a 1 day cruise in the Great Barrier Reef. Our hostel, Travellers Oasis, helped us a lot in planning this. Stay here if you come to Cairns!!!
It would take ages to explain everything we have seen in these few days but must do's are the Northern beaches, Cape Tribulation (where the rainforest meets the reef), Atherton platform (with amazing falls such as Josephine falls from the old clip movie of Peter Andre... Mysterious girl I want to get close to youuuu... remember?)
Landscapes changed a lot. We went from Tropical Rainforests to white sandy beaches to dry auzzi outback to UK type of
Mossman
Mossman Gorge landscapes to plantations of banana, mango, avocado, etc...
The last day, my birthday, was a 1 day cruise in the Great Barrier Reef. A gift from Manuela!!! She has been really courageous because she suffers from seasickness and had to sleep all day long in the cabin.
For me it has been a blast!!! I think it gets difficult to see something more beautiful then this into the water. The top was touching a 3 meter long Maori Wrasse fish!!! Thank you Manu!!! You are the best!!! Love you very much!!!
Tomorrow we will need to say good bye to our friends and we will be heading South to Sydney. Next stop... probably Townsville and the Magnetic Island... we will see and will keep you posted!!!
