Our Hut for two nights! Lots of animals shared it with us!
From Fraser Island we went to Airlie beech where we stayed in a shared accomodation with a Canadian mother and daughter and lots of crickets and geccos! Cleverly Dan put masking tape round all the door to our room so the bugs couldnt sneak in through the gaps, this was good until i realised almost as soon as hed finished that i needed the bathroom and there was only one way out!! oops.(Dan was not happy!)
While in Airlie beech we went on a trip to the Whitsunday Islands and went snorkling on the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkling was amazing and hopefully the pictures will come out cause we used a underwater camera so fingers crossed. Dan got loads of snaps of the reef, tropical fish and us in our wetsuits and flippers, i couldnt take many since im not the most natural in the water and tend to panic a little when i cant touch the floor, because of this i had to hold onto a float for the hour and a half of snorkling so had no free hands for photography!! We saw some amazing fish and one particully was really cool to be swimming with. It was about

a metre long and half a metre wide with the biggest blue lips (Dan thought it was an exact resemblance to Bulby, so we refer to it as the Bulb fish!!!)
We took loads of pictures of the Bulb fish as apparently we were lucky to be swimming with it.
(dan reckons it's pretty unlucky to look like the bulb though!!!! ha ha only joking gaffer!)

We moved onto Townsville and Magnetic Island after Airlie beech where we stayed for just a few days. Our resort on Magnetic Island was called Bungalow Bay and we had our own little wooden hut. The resort was very natural and had animals and insects romeing around everywhere, including our room which, once again, we shared with a hand full of geccos each night and the occasional frog. Possoms would hang around for dinner and kokaboras would wash themselves in the fresh water pool that we were swimming in. It rained while we were there quite abit but we did go to the beech still and saw loads of giant turles just meters away from the shore. We watched and waited for them as they can to the surface for air. I failed

This horse was a beast! Look how tall he is compared to the other ones! This was my first time and they gave me him!
to get any pictures cos they were far to quick for me as they popped up in all different places.
On our second day on the island we went horse riding. I was really looking forward to it but Dan had never riden before and was alittle dubious. He was right to be dubious when we saw the size of his horse, it was massive compared to the rest and although there was guide riders they didnt break Dan in easily, instead the got him on the horse and just told us to follow them. For me, it was great, we trotted, cantered and even rode bare back in our wetsuits along the beech and into the sea. Dan did everything, completely on his own and his horse turned out to be not just huge, but extremly naughty and hungry, taking Dan off into the forrest to eat and stopping whenever he felt like it leaving Dan miles behind the group at times to control his horse on his own. We were both alittle sadle sore the next day and i dont think i will be able to convince Dan to ride with me in New Zealand!! he he

Em walking on the desserted beach. The rain cloud did look pretty big though so i guess thats why me and muggins were the only ones there!!!!

We got to Cairns, via the greyhound and passing all the destruction caused by the cyclone Larry. Our accomadation was called Bohemia resort. We had a little room but with a fridge and tv so that was cool. Didn't do anything in cairns apart from sleep and do some shopping, it was raining constantly!!!!(not so jelous now are ya?)
Anyway next stop N.Zealand!!!
