Aukland to Brisbane

After sorting all our stuff out we took the shuttle to the airport and arrived in Brisbane about 4:30, we then took another bus into the centre to our hostel TinBillys, which was an interesting experience- we were sharing a room with 8 irish guys and the whole room stank. Em and I decided to get out of there as soon as we could and headed off to the river bank to take a ride on the brisbane eye- it was really pretty with all the lights on the river front. Due to the time difference from New Zealand we were pretty knackered, plus we had a bus to Rainbow beach for our Fraser Island trip at 7 in the morning.
That night was a major experience- the irish guys came in and out of the room about 10 times, turning the lights on and generally being really loud which we did not appreciate. Brisbane seemed cool, but we didn't have time to appreciate it fully and were also really tired from all the travelling. Fraser Island here we come.!!
