Town of 1770
Bikes ready to go at Scooteroo tours. I'd never been on a motorcycle before, I was very nervous. After spending all day yesterday wandering around Airlie Beach and swimming in the lagoon we took an overnight bus to Agnes Water. It was a tough bus ride but unlike Hannah I managed to get quite a lot of sleep during the 10 hour journey. Once we arrived in Agnes Water our hostel shuttle bus was waiting to take us to our accommodation down the road. Since it was somewhere we hadn’t originally planned to visit we didn’t really know much about this place, except that people kept telling us how good Scooteroo is. Scooteroo was a three and a half hour chopper tour around Agnes Water and The Town of 1770 down the road. We were unsure whether or not we really wanted to do it, but eventually we just booked it. For most of the day until the chopper tour we hung around the hostel and spent most of the time sleeping from our uncomfortable overnight trip.
We woke up in time and got ready to be picked up out the front of the hostel. We were eventually picked up by the owner, he was a real biker looking guy. Once we arrived at Scooteroo shelter there were

He gave each of us a motorbike, both Hannah and mine we’re like mini choppers, it was hilarious, mine being dark blue and black, Hannah’s was the American flag. I was so nervous about riding one of these, it wasn’t long ago I had only really learned to ride a bicycle now here I was ready to ride a mini chopper. One by one we drove off and formed a line around the corner, there had to be at least 40-50 people in the group. When it was my turn I slowly eased on the accelerator and zoomed off, it was much easier than I thought, nothing to it.
We rode all around Agnes Water stopping every now and then for the entire group to catch up. These things were really quite fast, a few times I had the chopper up to 70-80kph. We eventually had a short break where a few kangaroos were sitting back watching us approach them. Hannah and I also took this opportunity to take some good photos of us and the

We each had some wedges with chili sauce as we watched the sun set over the horizon. Afterwards we jumped back onto our choppers and rode back to where we started after an awesome few hours. Once we were back I took a few more photos, we thanked the owner then were dropped off at our hostel down the road, it was one of the best things I had done so far this trip. For the rest of the evening some guys at the hostel decided to watch ‘Gladiator’ so I joined them, while Hannah chatted to a few travelers. Once the movie finished we all headed to bed.
