With last year’s visit to the Cedarberg mountains and a not too long ago visit to Golden Gate in the Free State still etched in memory I find it hard to wax lyrical over Mt Connor; much less get excited over at last spotting some cattle. The whiteness in comparison to surrounding red ground caught my attention

Now home to a giant lizard. We did not see it but it likes to bask in the sun on the roof. The young man who gate-crashed the property by cutting fences and then broke down was not helped by the station folks (naturally upset at his stupidity and destruction of their property ) and he was unable to afford the call out fee. So the car stayed and now provides a home to a lizard and a story to tell

Paddy built a house for his wife above ground. She did not like the one below ground. See next pic
