Today started with a tack through Darlinghurst on my way to the Cruising Yacht Club for the Saturday race. Spruiking was OK. Went through the park and ended up in front of the club where several members got stickers. Nice.
Sailing was the order of the day. We went out. Windward was good. We're in the mix. Rounded Manly mark. All's well. Got asymetrical working. We're passing boats. Then meltdown. Sail flogs. Wraps. Very ugly. After much effort we get it down (in tatters).
Back at the club and a couple of jugs later, life goes on. I farewell these sailing mates (Dave, Matt and Hughey) and hope to see them again in a few months.
My walk back was verging on rock star. It seemed every other person wanted a sticker. Over thirty went out. Today's total - 62.
