I love this city.. or not !

Well - for now we are still in the same apartment - a dodgy studio in the seedy Kings Cross suburb... i have inadvertently spent the night with a particularly amorous cockroach who crawled up my arm and woke me up at 1 am - but did not live to boast about his exploits !!!

Hank is now parked in the Fire Brigade car park - looking decidedly out of place parked next to all the pumps ... i must take a picture.. its one for the album.. he spends most of the day with the windows down and the doors wide open to get rid of the smell of rotten food.. (no doubt an oversight on Ria's part - but as i can't seem to get hold of her anymore we'll never know - she must be having too much fun in Bali !) but until its sorted i can't sell him.. so..

ANYWAY..

Went to the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras the other week - what an eye opener.. never thought i was a prude - but my word !! even my camera turned blue.. Blanche and i bought our angel wings, put in our hair extensions, painted our faces and dressed Matt in hot pants and a tight t'shirt.. Blanche was most put out that he had his bum pinched more than hers - ha ha

Blanche's birthday on Wed 7th - so we all went out on Saturday.. got all dressed up in our posh frocks and had cocktail shooters from teapots!! Matt's birthday on the 15th.. nice quiet picnic planned..

I took some time out on my own this weekend to visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship - they're stunning. I got snap happy with my camera - as usual ! Going to go back with Blanche and dress up in a Ming Dynasty costume as a geisha girl and take some pics.. only costs $10.... bargain !!

Still apartment hunting - for obvious reasons - but its a bit of a nightmare.. hard to find something in our budget - so we may be splitting up apartment wise - we'll stay close but some of our own space is much needed.. lol

Can't believe i've been working here for nearly a month already - time flies hey?! It is p*ssing it down today - can hardly see out of the window.. reminds me of home..
