G’day! Bottom line: Sydney is awesome! I really like Melbourne, but would move to Sydney in a heartbeat. Mrs. MacQuarie's Chair

Mrs. MacQuarie was very influential in the settlement of Sydney and the formation of the local government, thus she was given this chair. I am not an expert on furniture, but I would be pretty pissed if I was given concrete slabs when I was promised a chair. L-R: Mike (NZ roommate), Sally (KC native), Me!

Bats!

Sydney is full of bats! Around dusk, hundreds/thousands fly into the city. This picture is from Domain Gardens.

Bat alley....

This tree-lined road in Hyde Park was full of dangling bats. These are not small bats.....these are the biggest bats I have ever seen. They looked like hawks.
