After landing the three of us took a taxi to the Kings Cross area because we had heard of there being a lot of hostels in the area. The first one which we went to called The Pink House was full so we went on to our next choice called Sydney Backpackers Central. They had space for us and it is a great place to be at. Me and mike were in a 6 person room and Luke was in the room above us. In me and Mikes room there was two guys from New Zealand named Nick and Matt. The other two were Mike from Iowa and Vanessa who was from Holland. This room has been way better then expected and all the people in our room are awesome to talk to. After putting our stuff in our room and getting ready we headed out to go check out the city. We walked pretty much the perimeter of the city from the east end all the way along the harbour front past the opera house and the bridge until we were in Darling Harbour. The whole walk must have been 5km atleast. We began south east of the opera house

which is where the first pictures were taken. From there we cut through a park which is where the bat pictures were taken. From there we went to the opera house which we took pictures of the bridge and the opera house. After that we went along the river through some little parts of town to Darling Harbour where we took pictures of places from the MTV show The Real World. From there we walked back through down town where we spotted a 7-11 and many fancy stores. Once we got home it was around dinner time so we went out to a mexican restraunt where we grabbed some food. From there we went back to the hostel and took a short rest. That night the majority of the hostel went out to a little bar where we all got a free drink. We hung out there for an hour or so before calling it a night and hitting the sheets.
