Jess saw an ad for Christmas Carols at the Town Hall which is a 5min walk from the apartment so we decided to get into the festive spirit and go along. They were queuing around the block to get in to the hall when we arrived, so it seems we were lucky to get tickets. The building itself is pretty spectacular on the inside with chandeliers and ornate carvings on the ceilings and a huge organ in the concert hall. There were 3 Sydney choirs along with a children’s choir, a harpist and an opera singer. They sang all the classics and while tucked away inside the hall it felt Christmassy for the first time, but the illusion was soon over when we walked out into the warm evening air when we left!
