Will was given a free cruise around Darling Harbour on a tall ship from his work, and we managed to get hold of another so that Jo could keep him company. It was an evening cruise so we turned up at around 5pm for boarding and Jo was at the front of the queue to make sure we got seats at the front of the boat!

We motored out of the harbour and then set sail and sailed back in – the trip would have been over before we started if we used the sails both ways as it was a windy evening. The sails were huge and we were all given a chance to help out and set the sails with the crew, there was even the chance to climb the mast but we decided that after a glass or 2 of champagne it perhaps wasn’t the best idea.

The cruise also included a BBQ and an open bar, so we made full use of both, with plenty of champagne and hot dogs – a good combination! Followed by cream profiteroles! Will also made friends with the bar man and got a present of a couple of
