Bondi Beach

Today we woke up and got packed to leave. We went to an internet cafe in the morning where I wrote the first 2 days. After that we hopped on the subway and went from Kings Cross(region of Sydney) where our hostel was to Bondi Beach which is Sydney's main beach. When we got there we tried hunting for hostels because we had not booked one ahead of time. This was unsuccessful. We thought about sleeping on the beach at night but we had all our bags and stuff and we would have to carry them around all day. Instead we decided to just stay for the day and then take the bus from there to Byron Bay. This worked out perfect because the bus left Sydney at 10PM and didnt arrive in Byron Bay until 10:30 AM meaning we could sleep on the bus. We locked up our bags at the surf board hire(rental) place and they promised to keep them to six. While we were at Bondi beach we went swimming and experienced the massive rip tides which pull you out into the ocean when you are trying to get back to the beach. After swimming for a bit

we got out and grabbed lunch at mcdonalds. From there we walked up the street towards a massive cliff which has awesome views of the town. On the way we ran into Ryan Sheckler who was in town for a skateboarding contest (relevant to anyone born after 1980). From there we went up and took the pictures and walked around the cliffs. From there we went back to the beach at around 5:30 and hopped on a bus which would take us to the bus station in downtown Sydney. Because our bus didnt leave until 10 PM we had about 3 and a half hours to burn. Sydney has tonnes of parks in the city so we just sat down on the grass and relaxed until the bus arrived.
